Testing something, don't mind this lmao.
@ntnsndr honestly I am grateful that they do this—when a local nonprofit declared themselves a "co-op incubator" they didn't pass the smell test and had to revert to .org
@arod Agreed.
@Yaku ma infatti.

Oh, gli hanno dato una milionata eh. Mica du spicci.
I'm bored. Who's your favorite tv character and why?
@Gina Malcolm Reynolds because he aims to misbehave.
Importing from @1password to @bitwarden lost attachments, so I'm going to have to check for other things that got lost now too. Hopefully nothing!
@Taffer Hey there, attachments and Sends are listed as the main follow up items: https://bitwarden.com/help/import-from-1password/#import-to-bitwarden

Too lazy to read the whole Meta settlement? Perhaps you need my esteemed colleague David Greene to read it for you and explain why it's good for Meta and bad for just about everyone else: https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2026/09/metas-17-billion-settlement-bad-deal-teens-and-all-social-media-users

Fediverse Summer Jam 2023! Check out the Games!
This is the best time in history to be a working creator. We have unparalleled access to potential audiences!
But that means we fling our work into the chasm of the world. If we're lucky we might hear it bounce off someone on the way down. Occasionally, they shout up appreciation.
Often, all we hear all the trolls snickering as it passes by.
It's utterly disenheartening.
But we keep going.
@mwl we must!

Anyone from #Germany here? I'm just really curios about how much #balkonkraftwerk there really is over there. Do you see them a lot in your daily life? Are there some streets or neighbourhoods where they're everywhere? Would love to see a photo of such a street, if so.
@forteller Not Balkongkraftwerk, but last week when I was at vacation at my hometown Lüneburg, I saw that the apartment building where I grew up 50 years ago, now is equipped with solar panels. In addition the gas heatings get replaced with heat pumps. Looks like that town is skipping balkong solar but focusing on large scale rooftop solar. „Energiewende“ is working!

Faranno una serie sulla De Crescenzo... secondo me hai speranze. 📽️
@Yaku ma infatti.
Okay #Bookstodon I need your help with a birthday present for my 12 year old niece. She is currently really into the Twilight series and I'd really like to lure her away to something that doesn't normalise controlling relationships. She also really likes the Hunger Games.
She seems to prefer long series and has reached the age where she prefers to think of herself as a young adult rather than a child so likes female main characters in their late teens and early twenties and won't read things with young children as main characters. A bit of dystopia or, apparently, vampires is fine, but she seems to prefer things mostly based in the real world and the modern era, not so much straight up fantasy, speculative fiction or historical. She also rather likes animals and nature but not obsessively, and wants to be an architect when she grows up.
I'm considering the Noughts and Crosses series, but it's a bit bleak and ideally I'd prefer something where not everyone dies.
Any suggestions?
@afewbugs Gideon the Ninth maybe? Although that is straight up fantasy

official Rogue Trooper from 2000AD movie, written and directed by Duncan Jones
previews in London in October:
Jones is a huge nerd and understands the assignment, so this might be just fine
@davidgerard Given that he clearly understood the assignment with World of Warcraft, I am definitely cautiously optimistic.
